Fan doesn’t want Marvel Star in the MCU anymore – and gets a clear rebuff

A Marvel fan has tweeted that Chris Pratt should be kicked out of the MCU. Director James Gunn responded to the request with incomprehension.

The Guardians of the Galaxy were among Marvel’s lesser-known heroes. It wasn’t until their entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) that the band of crazy heroes became known to most people. Therefore, many will also associate the characters with the corresponding actors, above all, of course Chris Pratt as the ditzy Star-Lord who appeared in at least Thor 4: Love and Thunder, Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, and of course “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” we will see it.

However, one fan tweeted calls for Pratt to be kicked out of the MCU, while also suggesting that Patrick Wilson (“Aquaman”) take on the role of Star-Lord. The reason for the request, which has received a lot of support from fans, is Chris Pratt’s alleged involvement with Hillsong Church, which has often been criticized for its anti-LGBTQ+ attitude. Now the director has james gunn reacted angrily to fan demand:

“Because of what? Because of your made up and completely false ideas about him? Because of something someone else said about him that isn’t true? Chris Pratt could never be replaced as Star-Lordbut if it ever came to that, we’d all go with him.

Chris Pratt has denied the allegations

In another tweet, the director explains that he knows which church Pratt would attend and that strangers shouldn’t believe everything they hear:

“I know the church he belongs to. Do you know her (The answer is no, but you heard someone who heard someone who heard someone else what church they go to and you decided, ‘Yeah, d’ Okay. I think that awful thing I’m saying online heard about this celebrity!)”

Hillsong Church founder Brian Houston had Pratt join the church in 2019 Tweeter denied and Pratt himself had contradicted that his church was anti-LGBTQ+ (via Variety):

“Nothing could be further from the truth. I go to a church that truly opens its doors to everyone…everyone has the right to love whoever they want without being judged by those around them. “

“Guardians of the Galaxy 3” will be the last film with the heroes, at least in this constellation. James Gunn announced it some time ago. So fans should have their tissues ready when the Marvel movie arrives. May 3, 2023 arrives in German cinemas. We’ll definitely find out then how much of a future Chris Pratt and Co. have in the MCU.

Do you know which Marvel characters hide under the costumes?
